Buku Sayissa, Ethiopia (Organic) (170g)
Notes: Passion Fruit, Mango & Plum Wine
Another coffee from SNAP coffee in Ethiopia. Buku Sayissa is from the Hambela Wamena district in the broader Guji zone. It’s a coffee comprised of offerings from some 430 smallholder farmers who bring their coffee on horseback owing to the steepness of the terrain. Most of the coffee in Buku is grown at 2350 meters above sea level which makes it some of the highest coffee in Ethiopia. Esayas Berisso is the producer and he has a reputation of producing some of the best and cleanest natural coffees from Ethiopia. We found this coffee to be hard to pin down with taste notes and definitely had multiple personalities, which will probably be even more evident depending on how it’s brewed.
