Saints & Scholars is our seasonal House Espresso. From a farmer community surrounding the village Flor De Selva in the north of Peru, we pay a premium for a blend concept from organic producers growing Caturra, Pache and Bourbon and on small farms of between 2-5 hectares. Each lot is produced at their own beneficios where they are depulped, fermented, washed and dried and often on extremely basic equipment.

Regardless of how basic their set-up is, we were extremely impressed by this coffee and are glad to be buying it from them and to be extolling it as our relaunched House Espresso. It has a lovely balance between being approachable and yet having a structure and complexity that we think should please a broad range of coffee drinkers.

PLEASE NOTE: We roast and flush all of our coffees in nitrogen as whole bean giving 3 months of just roasted freshness. All of our coffees, with the exception of those on our subscription plan, are sealed as wholebean. However, if you are buying from our online shop and would like your coffee ground, please leave a message in the notes at check-out saying you'd like it ground and your brew method and we'll open the can and grind prior to sending. Please be aware that this will only give 3 weeks of freshness rather than our normal 3 months.
