Process: Natural
Notes: Strawberry, Chocolate, Passion Fruit
Our love affair with coffee from Rwamatamu in Rwanda extends into June with out latest release; Musozi Lot 13.
Last month we brought you the stunning, floral and delicate Rwamatamu Peaberry - and in June we're dropping our very first ever natural Rwandan coffee.
Produced and processed by Rwamatamu, Musozi Lot 13 is grown in Western Nyamasheke, by the shores of Lake Kivu. Cherries are harvested and brought to Rwamatamu's Nayamasheke washing station. Cherries are sorted to remove defects and under/over ripe cherries. Before being transferred to raised drying beds.
Here, the coffee is dried outside over the course of 25 to 35 days, until it reaches 11% moisture. During heavy sunlight, beds are covered by a shade net, and during the night or in rain, they are covered with plastic sheets.
The result is a very high scoring, incredibly balanced and clean, vibrantly fruit forward coffee with notes of strawberry, chocolate & passion fruit. We hope you love it as much as we do!
